The Graceful Oscars

This woman, Jennifer Lawrence, has most definitely taken out the title for most gracious walk (she elegantly tripped up the stairs) to accept her Oscar for best actress, which she most certainly deserved for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook - awesome movie by the way, loved it.

While we're gushing over Jennifer Lawrence, have a look at her back stage press conference. Goes to show how down to earth and beautiful this woman is, and not to mention, hilarious!

Friday Loving

I am totally in love with Wildfox Couture at the moment. One of the items I have my eyes on is the Wildest Heart Muscle Tank with WILD AT HEART written on the front, a-m-a-z-i-n-g! I feel like I can kind of relate to it because deep down I am somewhat wild at heart, especially when I'm out with my friends getting cray. My friends would vouch for my lovely behaviour when I'm out and about. Especially this time of the year with The Garden and Barrio! I'm thinking this will be part of my possible Future Music Festival outfit, yet to buy my ticket! Having a bit of trouble locating online to buy as I have found that if I buy it in boutiques its about $80+ and a few places online have it for $58.

Browse below to appreciate the great photography that is of Wildfox advertising. It would be awesome to be a part of these photos!

This one goes back to 2009.

Something to live by!

Clueless inspired!

This screams me all over!!

Happy Friday :)

Happy Friday!! Thought I'd show a little Leonardo love for this wonderful Friday, the weekend is just around the corner.

I have forever had a crush on this man for as long as I can remember. I was that smitten my nan bought me a dvd on him when I was about 10 (I think I was 10).

yes please!

one of my all time favourite movies, Romeo & Juliet.

Just can't get enough!

Have an amazing weekend! I'll be going to Hot Dub Time Machine at The Garden tomorrow night, photos will be up Monday :)

Brit Awards

The Brit Awards was on the 20th with Emeli Sande taking out two awards; British female solo artist and mastercard British album of the year. Adele receiving an award for British single, Frank Ocean for international male solo artist, Lana Del Ray for international female solo artist and it goes on, but I am more interested in the fashion side of things and, well, Taylor Swift looked quite the vision in her all black Elie Saab gown. Have a look at some pictures below, wow. I love love LOVE this dress!! It was apparent that black was a popular choice of colour for most of the red carpet.

I'm not quite sure what Rita Ora was thinking.. don't get me wrong, she's a great artist but her choice in attire was not so great. It just wasn't doing her figure any justice.

Emeli Sande also opted for an all black look. I'm not sure... but it does look rather cute, I love her shoes!

Jessie Jay wore, also black, a Versace wrap dress. This was loved by the critics but I'm not so sure about it, it looks fantastic on her but it's not something I would wear, the neckline is very very low cut. But, like I said, she looks stunning.

Hidden Heart Valentines Cake

I had seen a post by Market HQ about a cake where when you slice it there is a pink heart in the middle of it. Once I had seen this I thought it would be a great idea to try and smash this cake out for my significant other for valentines day.

I used white wings packet cake, one a buttermilk mix, the other a dreamy chocolate mix. First of all I made the buttermilk, making sure I added the pink food dye, in a rectangle tin. When that was done I cut it into slices and carefully used a sharp knife to cut out love heart shapes.
When I had completed that I lined up the love hearts in the tin then, with help, poured the chocolate mix around & over the love heart cut outs. Done, put it in the oven and waited for the verdict!
When it was ready I waited for it to cool and I decorated it with chocolate icing and some lollies. Look below for the final product! It didn't go as well as I'd hoped but you can kind of see that it worked.

Twilight Strawberry Picking at Beerenberg Farm

Last night, for valentines day, my partner and I drove up into the hills, just out of Hahndorf, to partake in twilight strawberry picking at Beerenberg Farm. It was absolutely divine, we were given glasses of champagne upon arrival and containers to pop our strawberries into that we pick ourselves, even some smooth music was playing while we wandered around. As we left with our strawberries we were asked to leave a valentines note on their wall, my partner wrote: "call a rose by any other name and it will still smell just as sweet".

Last night was the last night to experience twilight strawberry picking but you can still go during the day up until May. They are open 9am-5pm Mon-Sun. Head to www.beerenberg.com.au for more information.

Superbowl Halftime Show 2013 - Take me back!

This still gives me goosebumps when I watch this!

Beyonce is an amazing performer and will always be an inspiration of mine. To think she has had a baby and can still move like that, snaps to her. Kelly and Michelle were great surprises and were also entertaining.I loved the whole set up from the stage to the lighting down to the choreography.

Watch below for the top 10 commercials from the superbowl. I find the dorito goat commercial to be quite hysterical!

Grammy's Fashion

The Grammys were held yesterday and I wanted to share a couple of fashion loves from the red carpet.

Rihanna wore a red chiffon Azzedine Alaia gown, Oh so amazing.

Alexa Chung looked like the ultimate cutie in this floral number by Valentino.

Beyonce and Kelly Rowland were knockouts in their classic outfits. Beyonce wore a black and white crepe pantsuit by Osman while Kelly wore a black Georges Chakra Couture gown. Both very uber sexy.

Well, well, well didn't T-Swift look the Grecian goddess in this J. Mendel creation. I can't decide whether I am a fan or not. I'm a fan of the split up the leg, I know that.

Mad March is around the corner

The Fringe has been extended by one week this year, doesn't that just get the tummy buzzing!

Opening night is the 15th February, this Friday - I cannot wait. I have already bought tickets to a couple of things, which I think is a must-do for this year's Fringe, namely being Colourpalooza and Hot Dub Time Machine.

Colourpalooza is pretty much a paint party filled with delicious drinks, tunes and A LOT of paint! Tickets are $15 and all proceeds go to the Royal Society for The Blind. The venue is a pop up venue called 'The Depot'. This event is on this Friday the 15th and again on the 8th March.

Visit this site to get your tickets and to read more about the event.

Hot Dub Time Machine is a music/dance event held in The Garden of Unearthly Delights which starts at 11:30pm and goes on until 2:00am on Friday and Saturday nights, from this Friday (15th) until 9th March. It starts by playing music from 1954 up until this year. There are big screens which show you special moves from each era and pictures of band/group that has the song playing.

This is all I have organised so far but I plan to wait a week and see what shows gets everyone buzzing and will go from there.

This is definitely one of my favourite times of the year, plus my birthday falls in March and for me I celebrate the whole month of March. I will be posting photos of all the mischief I get up to with my friends.

Thank you!
